The history of our hotel is foundational building foundation Avenue May. In 1894, Buenos Aires had this wonderful work that radically transformed the face of the large village and marked the starting point for building euphoria rarely equaled in its history. 

A euphoria that resulted not only in the amount of work (13 blocks built in just 16 years), but the shift that occurred in architecture in Buenos Aires from the creation of the Avenida de Mayo. 

Until 1880, Buenos Aires city had been low, its height except in the domes of churches, rarely exceeded two stories. The houses had barely changed their colonial structure, and of those, only the front, now decorated with Renaissance motifs brought by Italian stonemasons began arriving from Europe, showed a change from the past. Accustomed therefore these simple constructions of the '60s and '70s, it is easy to imagine the amazement of the locals, when suddenly they saw impressive rise buildings of five or six floors. 

It is in this May Avenue early last century, built between luxury and austerity the hotel. Space inhabited by world figures from various disciplines such as
